Before lunch I started with some play testing. We also had a presentation with people from Rovio. After lunch our sound designers came and we talked about some small changes that was needed. I also added sounds in our unity prototype where we did some testing.

Play testing and finding bugs has been my main thing today. I also recorded videos on most of the bugs for our programmers making it easier for them to see whats really wrong.

I started the day preparing for our sound meeting we had scheduled 10:00. We did the usual. Changing priority lists, talking about how close sounds are to what we want and play testing both the real version and our unity prototype.

After lunch I have done a lot of play testing trying to find bugs. I also added new sounds in our unity prototype and recorded a short video that I send to our sound designers.

I started with some play testing and updating trellos and prioritizing lists.

After that I made some game play videos playing our unity prototype using new sounds from our sound designers.

We also organized a bigger play test with the real version of the game. We got some good ideas and data from that.

Today I have done a lot of play testing. We also arranged a 6 player play test with people from other groups. We saw that some players had problems with some specific obstacles that we probably need to change and make easier.

I also update our unity prototype with new sounds and uploaded a video on youtube for our sound designers to watch.

Most of my time today has been play testing the game. Beside from that I updated our unity prototype with new sounds for our sound meeting 14:00. At the sound meeting we did go through and talk about most of the sounds and play tested our unity version.

Today before lunch we had our beta review. It all went well but we have a lot to do before we have a more complete game. After lunch we talked with our teachers. What we should test, change and priorities.

After that I did a lot of play testing. Testing different values and trying to find and understand whats causing some bugs.

I started the day by adding new sounds to our unity prototype. 10:00 we had a meeting booked with our sound designers. We played the unity prototype and talked about whats good and bad with all new sounds. After lunch I made some small updates that we did talk about. After that was done we play tested again and talked about when our next meeting will occur.

I also had some time over for play testing of our game after all sound related things was done.

Yesterday we decided to use the level I have been working on as our level 2. We started the day going throw all details and checking so everything is playing as it should. After lunch I have been adding new sounds in our unity prototype. We also did some play testing with 6 players using all new sounds.

I started the day preparing for our sound meeting that would occur 14:00. After that I continued on my level design.

Our meeting was done approximately 15:00. We went through new sounds they made and updated our priority order for sounds and music.

After that I did some play testing and more level design.

I have been updating our unity prototype with new sounds and testing sounds with 6 players playing in split screen. I also recorded 2 videos with all the new sound and posted them to our sound designers. We discussed whats bad and good and where we should go from there.

Today our school upgraded our computers which is really nice and needed. But because of that we could not work with our project so much. Instead we had a long meeting about what should be prioritized now when we are doing split screen instead of networking.

We had a setback today. Our lead programmer got sick and will maybe not attend for the coming weeks.

We had a meeting with our teachers how we should solve this. We concluded that our game will probably not med played over local network anymore. We will use split screen instead and cut lots of power ups.

We also need to remake our main level for 4 players instead of 6.

Today I have also been in meeting with our sound designers. I update our unity prototype with new sounds they made and played it at our meeting. We talked about what should be prioritized and how some sounds should feel to suit our game setting as good as possible.

I started the day by drawing how I wanted parts of the level design to be. The arrows show what direction is upwards. I want the map to have many variations in height. And some paths to be lateral. Also blocks should use dimensions that match our game setting.

We got some sound drafts that I added in our unity prototype. I also recorded a video playing with those sounds and did send that video to our sound designers.

I started the day with some sketching of a new level and after that building it in unity. Im trying to use everything we found interesting from our maps and put it in this level. All spawn points will be located in higher ground and make it easier for players to look where they want to go and memories the map.

The jail will also be located in high parts of the map. When anyone is imprisoned they can at least see some of the action occurring when people is chasing and being chased.

The jail button that can be pressed for releasing chasers will be located in the middle of the map. It should be easy to find and have multiple ways accessing it but still be in an open area where players can be spotted easy.

I did also place some obstacles that can be used for different jump patters. Using them for avoiding or catching enemies.

We had a meeting related to the art guide where artists explained some of the art and what ideas, suggestions they have.

Today has been a lot about sound for me. I wrote a list on what things in the game should use sound, and sheared that with my group. We also searched for some example sounds/music related to that list.

At 15:00 we had a meting booked with those who will create sounds for our game. I presented our list and examples we gathered. We also arranged a play test for them to test our Unity prototype thats representing our game. After that we conclude that they should start on things as, sound for running, landing, power ups... Also try to create examples for the background music that they will send to us on our discord group. They also wanted to work with trello so I created one for them.

We designers had our deadline for our map concepts today after lunch. So Before lunch I did some changes to my level design. After lunch We designers gathered and play tested all our level designs. After some hours we concluded that we wanted to do a mix of 2 of our levels. That map will be our main focus.

One of the things about my map was to create it smaller then my fellow designers and try out how that will work. I also made different jump pad paths. Where players can jump throw big parts of the map. Learning those jump pad paths can lead to an easy escape or easier catch. I also made different areas as a market, tunnel, police station, living areas.. that would make it easier communicating where players are.

The map had flaws. The biggest one where 4 high towers in the middle of the map. The team who are hunting can easily stand on one of those towers and wait. When they see anyone in the other team they can just jump down and catch them. This is not a big problem if we use fewer high towers and place them at edges.

The day started with our supervises talking about project 2. They talked about what we should priorities and focus on the coming weeks.

After that our group sat down and talked about where we should start and checked that everyone on the same page with the game idea.

I put up a trello and discussed with my fellow designers how some of the system design and level design should work.
